Welcome to the official website of the International Airport Development Company Limited (IADCL). The IADCL is a private limited liability company wholly owned by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It was incorporated under the Companies Act of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The company's mandate is to spearhead and coordinate all matters relating to the financing and construction of the Argyle International Airport and arranging for the effective management of the airport on its completion. Work on the Argyle International Airport began shortly after the Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves's historic speech on August 8th, 2005. In that speech, the Prime Minister sets out the government's commitment to the airport project and how the project is to be financed.
The Vincentian Association of Pennsylvania has donated EC$2,000.00 to the Argyle International Airport, this, as Vincentians at home and abroad continue to make tangible contributions to the construction of the Argyle International Airport.
The donation is part of proceeds raised during a concert held late last year to raise monies for the airport. The donation was made on Tuesday February 18th at the office of the Vincentian Newspaper by Cindy Cordice-Barker, who did so on behalf of the Association.
Below is a story about the event which was first published in the Vincentian Newspaper in late 2013.
Work on the Control Tower at the Argyle International Airport is on the way and in full swing, as the International Airport Development Company seeks to have the Argyle International Airport completed and operational by the end of 2014.
Construction work on the base of the Control Tower commenced on January 27th with the excavation of the site, and foundation work is ongoing.
