Welcome to the official website of the International Airport Development Company Limited (IADCL). The IADCL is a private limited liability company wholly owned by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It was incorporated under the Companies Act of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The company's mandate is to spearhead and coordinate all matters relating to the financing and construction of the Argyle International Airport and arranging for the effective management of the airport on its completion. Work on the Argyle International Airport began shortly after the Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves's historic speech on August 8th, 2005. In that speech, the Prime Minister sets out the government's commitment to the airport project and how the project is to be financed.
The spanning of the Yambou River is a critical component of the construction of the Argyle International Airport, and for sometime Vincentians have been inquiring as to when the process of spanning the river will start, and how long it will take. They have also been expressing concern about the possibility of flooding in the area and the difficulty of the tasks.
Members of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines fire service headed by Superintendent Isaiah Browne, on Monday November 3rd 2014, took charge of three spanking new fire trucks destined for the Argyle International Airport.
