Welcome to the official website of the International Airport Development Company Limited (IADCL). The IADCL is a private limited liability company wholly owned by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It was incorporated under the Companies Act of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The company's mandate is to spearhead and coordinate all matters relating to the financing and construction of the Argyle International Airport and arranging for the effective management of the airport on its completion. Work on the Argyle International Airport began shortly after the Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves's historic speech on August 8th, 2005. In that speech, the Prime Minister sets out the government's commitment to the airport project and how the project is to be financed.
Members of Returning Nationals SVG, continue to show their support of the Argyle International Airport in a very tangible way. On Monday May 11th 2015, they handed over 35 thousand EC dollars to His Excellency Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne and CEO of the International Airport Development Company (IADC) Dr. Rudy Matthias.
Pavement work on the runway of the Argyle International Airport is in full swing with all hydraulic concrete work on the Turning Heads completed and full attention now being paid to those areas where the Asphalt is to be used.
The runway measures 9-thousand feet long and 150 feet wide inclusive of the two turning heads at both extremes. The area designed for asphalt pavement measures 7,555 feet, of that measurement a total of 2, 165 feet of asphalt has been placed on the runway as of April 20th 2015.
